Grays Athletic manager Julian Dicks says he will not shy away from their relegation battle. His side are mired in the Blue Square Premier relegation zone having lost six games on the trot, conceding 17 goals in the process.
Dicks told BBC Essex: "I've never shirked from a challenge in my life.
"It really, really hurts me and I'm passionate about football and I will carry on here as long as the chairman Andy Swallow wants me here."
The former West Ham and Liverpool defender admitted he was becoming increasingly frustrated with his side's defensive lapses which have led to the club's current plight.
"It's nothing new, we do it every single week and concede four or five goals every single week at the moment," he said.
"But we do address it on the training field, but if the players can't take it onto the pitch then either they're thick or they don't want to learn."
